What to Expect at Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park
If you’re looking for a peaceful and practical place to park your rig in southeast Nebraska, Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park in Nebraska City might be just the ticket.
We stopped here for a short stay during our recent drive from North Georgia to Moran, Wyoming and it offered exactly what we needed: wide interior roads, a spacious site that fit our 44′ Fifth Wheel Toyhauler and Ram 3500 dually, and a quiet atmosphere to rest and recharge after a LONG drive.
This Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park review covers what you can expect from the layout, hookups, and overall experience. While it is not a destination campground, it is more than sufficient for a stopover or short stay. If you’re passing through the area and want something reliable, read on for the full breakdown.
Spoiler alert: it does have a small ‘hidden’ waterfall on site hence the name.

The Sites & Park Map
Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park is an average size with 40 RV Sites, 5 Cabins, and 2 Motel Rooms available for rent. The RV sites are a mixture of daily rentals and long-term guests.

We only stayed for 1 night but talked to many campers who were there for anywhere from a week to a month to 6 months. Everyone we met was very nice.
Check In Process
We received a message in advance of arrival that explained the check-in process. There is a red mailbox upon arrival with paperwork for you to fill out and sign before you enter the RV park.
Pro Tip: Bring your own pen because there was not one there to use.
Once you sign the paperwork, you follow the instructions on the map that lead you to your site. They are straightforward and the park is easy to navigate.
If you have any problems upon arrival or during your stay, there is a phone number available to call for assistance.
RV Sites
We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. While the roads inside Hidden Falls are gravel, the sites are concrete pads.
Bonus – the sites at Hidden Falls RV Park are level, long, and wide!

The sites are all back-in with full hookups (FHU) and include both 30 and 50 Amp options. Each site includes a picnic table and firepit as well.
Cabins & Motel Rooms
Don’t have an RV? That’s ok! There are 5 cabins and 2 motel rooms available on site.
The cabins have a full-bathroom, queen size bed, pullout sofa, kitchenette (mini fridge, range/oven, microwave, cooking utensils and dishes), TV, a covered porch, and individually controlled heat/air conditioning.

The motel rooms have a full-size bathroom, queen size bed, mini fridge, microwave, TV, WiFi, and heat/air conditioning. The heat/air is controlled by the main office.
Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park Amenities
The RV Park has a variety of amenities include multiple covered pavilions, bathhouses, laundry facilities, green space, picnic areas, pond, and the hidden falls located on the property.
Hidden Falls and Pond
If you know anything about Morgan, you know she loves being on or near the water. So hearing that there were waterfalls on site was exciting.

There is a calm creek that flows through the back of the RV Park. The campground map lists this as a waterfall but we feel like that is a bit of a stretch.
There is also a pond on the property. Fishing and swimming are not allowed but we saw several fish, turtles, and a beaver.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms and laundry facilities at Hidden Falls are centrally located within the campground and have ample parking outside. Upon check-in, they provide access codes to these buildings as well as the WiFi password for the RV Sites and Motel Rooms.

The RV Park has separate bathrooms for daily guests versus extended-stay guests. We only received the code for the daily guest bathrooms but found them to be very clean and well stocked.
Laundry Facilities
We did several loads of laundry during our stay at Hidden Falls. Having traveled all over the United States in our RV, we were happy with the cost at $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry per load.

There is a folding table, coin operated detergent machine, as well as a vending machine.
Pavilions & Picnic Areas
There are pavilions, picnic areas, and green space scattered throughout the property.

The Downsides of Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park
No RV park, campground, or resort is perfect. With that being said, these items were cons in our minds but did not change our overall positive opinion of this park.
Lack of a Dog Park
This was especially sad because dogs are not supposed to be on the grassy areas by the swings or pavilions. With that being said, there are plenty of grassy areas where dogs are allowed to be; we just like having a dog park available since our Coco pup does not like to “do her business” on a leash.

Lack of Other Amenities
This campground lacks significant amenities. There is not a store on site for basic necessities. While the park is clean and peaceful, it does not have some of the extras we see at other RV parks like a pool, playground, or clubhouse.
Hidden Falls: The Perfect Place to Stop
While we stopped here simply because it was along our route and could fit our rig, the campground was clean and the other guests were considerate.
We did not get to explore Nebraska City since we had a deadline to arrive in Wyoming, but if we are ever back in the area, we would happily stay at Hidden Falls RV Park again.
